# Household Language

> Household language codes for CoBHRM client records

**Field format:** `9(2)` -- two-digit numeric string
**Valid values:** `01`-`21`, `96`-`99`

| `02` | Spanish |
| `03` | Chinese |
| `04` | Mandarin |
| `05` | Cantonese |
| `06` | German |
| `07` | Vietnamese |
| `08` | French |
| `09` | Russian |
| `10` | Korean |
| `11` | Afro-Asiatic (including Amharic, Somali) |
| `12` | Arabic |
| `13` | Other Indo-Europe |
| `14` | Tagalog |
| `15` | Filipino |
| `16` | Japanese |
| `17` | Hindi |
| `18` | Nepali, Marathi, or Other Indic Languages |
| `19` | Western African |
| `20` | Italian |
| `21` | Other Asian |
| `96` | Asked but Unknown |
| `97` | Other |
| `98` | Declined |
| `99` | Unknown |
