# Frequency of Use of Drugs/Alcohol

> Drug and alcohol use frequency codes for Special Connections

**Field format:** `9(2)` -- two-digit numeric string
**Valid values:** `01`-`04`

| Code | Frequency |
| - | - |
| `01` | Monthly |
| `02` | Weekly; three to five times |
| `03` | Daily |
| `04` | Three or more times daily, binging |
