Disability Codes

Disability classification codes used in CoBHRM client records

Overview

The Disability field is a multi-select field. When a client has multiple disabilities, all applicable codes are submitted as a semicolon-space delimited string (e.g., 02; 08; 13).

Field format: x(100) — semicolon-space delimited list of codes Valid values: 01-16

If disability codes 08 (Deaf/Hearing Loss) or 10 (Blind/Vision Loss) are selected, the Communication Accommodations field on the Admission record becomes conditionally required.

Multi-Select Format

When a client has multiple disabilities, separate codes with ; (semicolon and space):

Validation Rules

1. Cannot be blank, space, null, or empty
2. Each code in the delimited list must match a value from the table above
3. If no disability applies, use 01
4. If 01 (None) is selected, no other values can be selected
